All six carbons are achirotopic and equivalent although for the sake of discussion, they have been numbered arbitrarily. The odd numbered atoms are an equivalent set; they are considered first. For C₁, C₂ has the R_o designation (red arrow). The other set is the three even numbered atoms. Atom C₂ has C₁ as the R_o group (blue arrow). Both sets subscribe to the righthand rule.
